Once again, thanks for all those who came along and particularly to our new customers who made it a year to remember. We are now beavering away on completing some our great new features for the 2012 updates and will post details as they go live. The BDTA this year was amazing for WYSdom, with a substantial number of enquiries for both ICONic Practice Softwre and Consult-PRO - Dental Education Software. Existing WYSdom customers are also very keen on digital technologies and the percentage using it is rising all the time so many of them made their way to the stand to discuss the options for integration with ICONic; several placing orders on the stand. Behind the scenes WYSdom is constantly working on enhancements and additions to the ICONic system. At the same time we are always looking for the next big feature that we can add and two of these were seen for the first time at The Dentistry Show 2010. The ICONic system was demonstrated with Touchscreen functionality for the first time and provided the wow factor WYSdom stand visitors. WYSdom have always planned to make this available to ICONic users but it has only become practical as the cost for the Touchscreen hardware has become more affordable. Watch this space for further reports and the release date on both these exciting features. WYSdom ICONic yet again breaks new ground becoming the 1st Scottish Dental System to transmit live claims via N3. WYSdom’s Managing Director, Laurie Trewinnard said that “We are pleased to continue our record of being in the forefront of Scottish dental system developments. Back in 1992 we were the first company to completely print the GP17 claim forms, in 1993 we were the first company to initiate electronic transmissions and yet again in 2009 we have led the way in being the first company to transmit live claims using the new Scottish N3 system.” MORE>>> WYSdom were inundated with interest and genuine equiries at the BDTA showcase, as it was the first time that the public could see the latest additions that have been included in Release V2 of the UK's leading graphical-based software.

The BDA Annual Conference and Exhibition held in Glasgow in early June was very well attended and many WYSdom clients were eager to know the latest about the changes to the NHS transmission system - due later in the year.
It was good to see so many of our users at the show, and also show just what ICONic can do to so many prospects. It's always good to get face to face feedback and sign up new customers. The dental education software from Consult-PRO also went down really well and has turned into several orders. The ICONic system, with its latest functionality, proved yet again to be a real winner with visitors as they quickly understood the advantages of graphics-based charting. This concept has been further refined and added to in the 2008 ICONic system updates and allows for a much improved user experience over the older numerical, code-based systems that still seem to dominate the UK marketplace. It's a great way to show a patient in detail what treatments are being proposed and integrates directly with the ICONic system where it creates a log of what has been demonstrated or printed out for a patient. The Scottish Presentations 2007 Once again, the Scottish shows proved to be a great success, with the majority of existing users coming to meet the team and see the new ICONic and Consult-Pro software. Users have been very supportive and appreciative of the effort and substantial investment we are putting in to the new system which will bring them great benefits as it is rolled out in 2008.
There was also a great deal of interest in the digital X-ray and image technology that we also sell, with a particular emphasis on the Digora Optime system, which lead to several substantial orders. The cost benefits and reduction in administration necessary were cited as key to their decisions to place orders. The October BDTA Showcase was a resounding success for WYSdom and the launch of ICONic. Our stand was virtually besieged at times and we have to say a big thank you to all those who came to see us. Rumours about the new system quickly spread around the show and we had many visits from non-WYSdom users as well as our competitors, all of whom congratulated us on what we have achieved to bring dental charting into the twenty-first century. to make it even faster to use by integrating it with Touchscreen. Over the coming few months we will be testing the reality of Touchscreen prior to the official launch to users.
r stand than in 2007. This allowed us to provide demonstration facilities to a much larger number of visitors at any one time - and it proved to be the right decision. The stand was really busy for most of the show and at times it was difficult to actually get to talk to everyone that wanted information or a demonstation, but that's a good thing.... correct?
The vast majority of users have now signed for the upgrade and many will be adding additional systems and sites to their practices.
Everyone who saw the new system was impressed by the simplicity of the new visual charting mechanism for entering patient data and many commented on how easy it would be for a new nurse to get familiar with it. In fact we had a new member of our own staff who came to the show having never seen ICONic and she was up and running and demonstrating to users within thirty minutes of logging into the system. Amazing!
During and since the show we have taken a great many orders from users for upgrades to their systems as well as numerous orders for other dental related products such as cameras and X-ray equipment, so once again thanks to you all.
We have worked closely with Consult-Pro over the last few months to bring you what is the most comprehensive and advanced library of video animations available.
