"I have been using the WYSdom dental system since 1992 when the system was the first in Scotland to print the GP17 forms including all treatment and administrative details. Then in 1993, I was chosen by WYSdom and the Scottish DPD to become the pilot site for the trials of electronic claims submission and on the 29th April 1993 my practice became the first in Scotland to electronically transmit NHS claims. Since then I have made over 2000 transmissions, thus finally dispensing with the need to print and send GP17’s altogether.

"I have used WYSdom software for over 15 years in my multi-surgery practice. With various updates it has taken us from GDS, to a pilot site PDS, to our new contract. We have updated over the years and the software now covers records, accounts, appointments, X-Rays etc – a paperless practice.
Throughout the changes it has remained stable, well thought out, and when needed, someone has been at the end of the phone to help us through any difficulties. Any problems have been dealt with quickly, including the hardware which is also under contract.
